Grants Programmes
PeerFest is thrilled to unveil not just one, but two dynamic grants programmes dedicated to empowering mental health peer support initiatives: the PeerFest Greater Manchester Sustainability Fund and the National PeerFest Grants. These initiatives represent our commitment to fostering resilience, innovation, and community-driven solutions in the field of mental health support.
Manchester Sustainability Fund
If you facilitate mental health peer support in the Greater Manchester community, this grant is designed to meet your needs. Whether it's for your well-being, development, or service delivery, we want to support your initiatives.
Criteria for Eligibility
-
No need to be registered or hold a company bank account.
-
Small, grassroots, peer/community-led groups with an annual income of under £100,000.
Focus Areas
Your Wellbeing:
-
We recognise the dedication of peer workers and the importance of self-care. Share your ideas on how the fund can help nurture and sustain your wellbeing or that of your peer group. Examples include individual funds for therapy, reiki healing, or even a gym membership.
-
Additionally, consider proposals for group activities that bring peer workers from across Greater Manchester together. This could be a retreat or a relaxed day/morning/afternoon of company and conversation.
Your Development:
-
Funding is available to support your training needs, such as travel/participation in conferences. Tell us how we can help you grow and develop in your role.
Service Delivery
-
Explore opportunities to try something new, whether it's a small community meetup or a sustainable initiative for your group. Funding can be used for equipment, resources, venue hire, food, beverages, or any other reasonable cost that enhances your service delivery.
National PeerFest Grants
Hosted by the Communities Team at Mind and designed in collaboration with our independent PeerFest team and the PeerFest Network, these grants aim to provide support to grassroots organisations, community groups, and peer-led support groups.
We are offering 15 groups grants of £500 each, empowering them to enhance their mission through funding for equipment, resources, venue hire, food, beverages, or any other reasonable costs.
